Habs cricketers triumph in final game before Devon

1st XI defeat previously unbeaten Bancroft’s

For the second year running Habs 1st XI saved some of its best cricket for the clash with Bancroft’s School and, as in 2009, we emerged victorious.

On Saturday 3rd July, another hot and sunny day, previously unbeaten Bancroft’s, the strongest school side on our circuit in recent years, collapsed from 66 for 1 to 119 all out.  Although they immediately captured two Habs wickets in reply, we were not to be outdone and an unbroken partnership for the 4th wicket between Basil Letts (48*) and captain Tom Edrich (36*) took us to a memorable victory with 16 overs to spare.
